This circular mandala is created on canvas using oil paint and mixed media, and is presented within a square frame. Built through repeated organic forms arranged in concentric patterns, the composition creates rhythm, balance, and a meditative movement toward the center.

This work is especially significant within the artist’s body of work because it was the first piece in her mandala series, created during the pandemic. As the beginning of this new chapter, it marks an important moment of introspection, transformation, and spiritual exploration. It was during this period that the mandala emerged as a visual language through which repetition, symbolism, and contemplation could come together.

Its green palette is associated with Anahata, the heart chakra, the energy center connected with love, compassion, and emotional connection. Located at the center of the chest, Anahata governs the ability to give and receive love freely, not only with others, but also with oneself. As the fourth chakra, it serves as a bridge between the lower chakras of physical existence and the higher chakras of expression, intuition, and spiritual awareness.

Through color, texture, repetition, and material, the work explores inner balance, emotional openness, and connection. As the first mandala in the series, it carries the energy of origin: a piece born from stillness, uncertainty, and reflection, yet rooted in the heart as a place of healing, grounding, and renewal.

[180
