Dressed in Wasps explores the subconscious through symmetry, chance, and transformation. Created using an experimental transfer technique with wax-based pigments, the work emerges through the mirroring of fluid colors and textures, allowing unexpected forms to develop.<\/p>\n
The vivid combination of yellow and black recalls warning coloration in nature\u2014the striking colors used by wasps and other species to signal danger, toxicity, or a need to keep their distance. Here, however, the warning becomes ambiguous: the colors are simultaneously seductive and unsettling, drawing the viewer closer while suggesting that something beneath the surface may be dangerous.<\/p>\n
The symmetrical figure that emerges resembles an enigmatic creature, mask, or protective apparition. Its layered textures oscillate between recognizable organic forms and abstraction, creating a visual experience that feels both familiar and alien.<\/p>\n
Rather than depicting a predetermined subject, the work allows the image to emerge from the process itself.
