In this work I explore themes of resilience, identity, and the inner strength, presenting the subject with a calm yet unwavering gaze. Using gold in the background I elevate the figure, referencing traditional religious iconography and suggesting reverence, while simultaneously contrasting with the raw , visible brushstrokes that emphasize emotional honesty and vulnerability. The floral crown symbolizes beauty and endurance, acting as a visual metaphor for growth through adversity. Included in the Presence Series, the use of earthy tones domain the opposition, with the variations in color reflecting physical presence and emotional depth.
