The sky burns softly rather than violent, its warm reds and oranges diffusing into muted blues and pale, shifting tones across the water. I was interested in capturing not the peak of the sunset, but the gentle release that follows -the moment when light begins to thin and the landscape exhales. Through layered, horizontal brushwork, I allowed the surface to remain open and atmospheric, letting colors blend and dissolve into one another, The reflection of the sun is intentionally softened, creating a sense of distance and calm rather than drama. This work is about subtle transition and emotional quiet.
