Mozart\u2019s final song of tears, ‘Lacrimosa’ (meaning ‘weeping’ or ‘tearful’), has erupted onto the canvas, ignited by the anniversary of his birth. After days of intense immersion and brushwork, I finally mark the end of this sublime journey of light.
\n\u200bI have captured the most noble prayer of a human soul yearning for salvation amidst deep sorrow, placing that desperation within this vertical path of light piercing through the pitch-black darkness.
\n\u200bI intended for this canvas to become a sacred ‘Sanctuary’ in its own right. The fragments of blue and purple at the bottom are ‘Stained Glass of the Soul,’ crafted by my own hands to visualize the sharp, piercing melodies of the strings. The brilliance of the mother-of-pearl (nacre) cascading from the highest point of this sanctuary glimmers quietly, capturing the trajectory of fleeting sound into eternity.
