Similar to Blue ZZP it has a short stubby line and a long blue line. However here the short line is in Paynes Grey and the long line is in Cerulean Blue. The positioning of the elements is almost the reverse of the other painting. The use of the light olive green was a desire to have a colour which, to an extent, disappeared into the background and was also a substitute for the too ubiquitous use, in former paintings, of Yellow Ochre. I draw the composition, and then paint the background around the elements.
