The themes in this painting are very relatable to many who have struggled with self expression and effective communication. the figure who has been painted with versatile facial expressions in order to make (the mask) androgynous , therefore the experience is relatable to many from different walks of life such as people of different ethnic backgrounds, genders and age. The mask is broken from the corner and the green that is floating out is to represent the soul breaking free from all that is associated with the mask such as social hierarchies, income and achievements that are part of the face we show to the world and therefore become part of our ego. The green soul breaking free is guided by butterflies that have been a symbol of change and rebirth for many generations. The figures in the background represent society and the emotions associated with growth and change. The figure in the top left corner is biting a butterfly and the butterflies blood travels back down to the mask, which leaves the viewer wondering if the mask is to be broken or it is just a part of the cycle of change. The blood travels back to the suit pocket of the mask which feeds the flowers that grow, this further feeds the idea that beauty comes from pain. There are multiple eyes which have been placed throughout the painting, these eyes offer a lens in which we can see that there are multiple ways of seeing this painting whether its through the eye of evil or good. leaving the viewer with juxtaposing ideas of what this painting is. as the colours, the eyes, the flowers and the butterflies all enlighten the viewer in a different way.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Morezaie<\/a>","protected":false},"author":2890,"featured_media":371630,"template":"","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"o","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":""},"product_cat":[24,409],"product_tag":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/371628"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2890"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/371630"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=371628"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=371628"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/galeriaazur.art\/esp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=371628"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
