The piece takes its title from a line in the HBO Show &#8216;The Wire&#8217;, where a character reflects on being hustled. Here, that moment becomes something more for me\u2014an exploration of how money flattens certain identities. Whether earned, stolen, or stumbled upon, money spends the same.
