The artwork Thelma & Marie is inspired by the film Thelma and Louise, an iconic cinematic work that embodies feminist momentum. This film tells the story of two friends who relentlessly support each other through multiple challenges, such as assaults and sexual harassment by several heterosexual men. They choose to reject a life under patriarchal control, claiming their freedom and identity. Deeply moved by this narrative, I wanted to pay tribute to my mother, a woman of extraordinary resilience and strength.<\/p>\n
