BIOGRAPHY
visceral home is a Charleston-based duo of artists, Taylor (b.1994) and Connor Robinson (b.1992), who create sculptural mixed media artwork. Their works interpret the human psyche, exploring themes of trauma and healing, the passage of time, and the relationship between humans and the natural world. Over the past few years, they’ve honed in on a practice where the married partners collaborate: Connor handcrafts frames and surfaces while Taylor paints abstract images, creating a thoughtfully balanced vision. The complexities of coping with cPTSD and substance use disorder are threaded throughout their works, revealing a timeline of visceral indentations of the emotional journey of healing.
