BIOGRAPHY
Steven Rousakis is an oil painter of 12 years, currently based in Asheville, North Carolina. Drawing inspiration from nature, the cosmos and architecture, he spends his time between his studio and peacefully adventuring through life with his french bulldog, Duncan. In addition to painting, he also explores motion graphics, music production and enjoys studying physics and hermeticism. His painting project is named Psykiss

STATEMENT
Steven’s work is an exploration of light and color through vivid shape, hue and saturation relationships in the form of a visual amalgamation of figurative, spacial and landscape paintings. His work is always evolving as he finds solace and joy diving into new concepts and synthesizing ideas in his previous works to create new but familiar visual dialogues typically inspired by nature, the divine feminine, sci-fi aesthetics and physics. His work explodes with vibrant colors and entrancing allegory. He shares his work and technique live at many events, fairs and festivals in hopes to teach, inspire and commune with humanity
