BIOGRAPHY
Sonja Kresojevic is a Serbian self-taught artist, living and working in London. She has spent 30 years moving around the world, working as an innovation strategist, author, facilitator, and speaker. A newcomer to the professional art world, Sonja started her artistic journey in the summer of 2021, in response to a life-long inquiry into questions of identity, belonging and interbeing. As a painter she works intuitively, harnessing the power of movement to create bold, instinctive compositions, combining vibrant colours and emerging forms. She is passionate about cross-disciplinary inquiry, exploring dance, visual art and music, and creating unique “languages” of expression. Her work has been included in exhibitions in Milan, Madrid and Rome.

STATEMENT
The work on the “Movement” series symbolises the deconstruct of our lives: identity, beliefs, knowledge and experiences…opportunity to go beyond re-assembling them into a new fixed form, and instead allowing for endless movement…Life in flow that is never complete or fully assembled, where individual pieces with their unique expression of movement, shape, colour and sound, mirror fragments of ourselves in relation to others, our openness to new learnings, new language, new experiences. In their freedom to move and connect, always in response to a present moment, and as as a result only in a temporary form, they allow for a creation that is always changing, recreating and regenerating itself.
