BIOGRAPHY

Sergi Sala was born in 1986 in Vilassar de Mar, a little town by the sea in Barcelona, Spain. He spent his childhood and teenage years in Mataro, where he lives to this day. From a young age he showed talent for the arts, which prompted his parents to enroll him in a paint and art academy. In his teenage years he developed a special interest in geometry, architecture, design and graphic arts. Which led him to graduate in Advertising Graphic Design and a Master in Design of the Corporate Image, in Elisava (Barcelona).

He started his professional career as a freelance in 2012, by opening his own design studio. He has created projects in corporate image, editorial design and advertisement graphics. In 2022 he join the ADG-FAD, the Spanish Association for Graphic Designers.

Through the years he has used his free time to create abstract illustrations by computer using vectors, which has led to the creation of an art collection based on light, geometry and color.

“Intuition is my inspiration. My fulfillment comes from understanding that my intuition serves people and their wellbeing.”

The origin of my art is intuition, and through her, I experiment with the juxtaposition of geometry and color, in a search to embody specific vibrations. The features that define my experimental search, and therefore my art, are: light, balance, center and harmony.

The purpose of my art is to enhance the places that it is displayed in, by contributing to the well-being of those who live in or pass by them.
