Scott Soares is a Musical Artist and Intuitive Painter. Scott’s take on a whimsical Canadian Mythology, through shape, colour field and abstract-interplay of form, act as a reflection of a personal narrative; a tale woven rich with both trauma and survival.

STATEMENT
REVERSALS:SAFE
When I dumped out a large portion of my work in summer 2021, I had only just begun, moving-forward-facing-backward. Looking and obsessing over the past; while time passed further along and reality ever changed. I had no hope, moving forward; in REVERSE. I reversed into the darkest place, experiencing void. The light was all gone and I wanted to die. Something glimmered from behind me; I turned around and began to move FACING FORWARD.
