BIOGRAPHY
Born in Romania. Daughter of the famous dissident artist Constantin Iliescu, who had lived in Paris as a student. Since I was a child, my goal was to escape and make my life in Paris. Arrived in Paris in 1970 and integrated the art community of Montmartre, where I never stopped to be active. Based in Paris, which remains my major source of inspiration. I travel a lot, displaying my paintings in many countries where I have a good response to my art.

STATEMENT
In any of my works I try to tell a story, to figure an equally mysterious and seductive background. I want the person who looks at my painting to feel like stepping in, be a part of the story. I’m mostly inspired by the life style and atmosphere of the “roaring twenties”, which seems to me creative, daring, charming and sparkly like champagne…
