BIOGRAPHY
Rakel Routarinne (1989) is a Helsinki based finnish visual artist. The artist is focusing on abstract painting. Big brushes, spray paint, spatulas and a sanding machine are what Rakel’s technique constitutes of. Bold and robust coincides with soft and fragile in Routarinne’s works.

STATEMENT
I send unspoken messages through my art. I am intrigued by the space beyond mundane reality -the dimension where distance or time no longer dictates. I drag inspiration from near death experiences and altered states of consciousness. Art is like a message in a bottle; you don’t know who the message will reach.
