BIOGRAPHY
Paraskevas Papadopoulos, my origin is from Asia Minor, I was born in Athens in 1962 and I have been painting since a young age.
I have attended seminars at the art laboratory of New Philadelphia.
As a self-taught artist, my goal is to find new visual paths of communication so that it is an exploration of the purpose of painting itself.
In this process, imagination is a driving force and at the same time a means of interpretation.
The painting is an action, not a representational activity, and it can express reality or fantasy, but it is a performance of the artist himself.

STATEMENT
In my works of art, by avoiding to trap my thoughts on the object, I express my deeper feelings that are caused by it.
In cooperation with my brushes and the effects of modern reality, I create the line of my dreams and my external experiences, presenting their intensity or harmony and revealing their true face.
My figures, timeless and mysterious, are created without having any details or special characteristics.
The expressionistic method, in which I apply my colors and I present my figures, gives the sensation that my figures themselves, express their mental state and emotional status.
