BIOGRAPHY
I ventured into professional painting at a very young age, but my rebellious character was not compatible with art schools. Guided by Rufino Tamayo and Carlos Mérida, with whom I had a very close relationship, I took the self-taught path.
With a rich cultural background and with the purpose of being part of the plastic integration movement, I developed my career in architecture and industrial design.
I have had a very satisfactory professional life, the confinement due to the pandemic confirmed to me that my passion and my essence is painting.
CV
I had my first professional exhibition at the age of 17 and worked as an exclusive artist for the Galeria Pintura Joven and the Galeria Danilo Ongay.
I studied Philosophy and Art History, later Architecture and Design.
I have made multiple exhibitions, projects and designs. I won 7 medals in “The Best of Neocon” and the gold medal at the 2012 Ibero-American Biennial.
STATEMENT
Beyond statements or narratives, I try to express emotions that would generate in each spectator his own meaning.
My goal is to find new visual pathways and an exploration of the purpose of the painting itself.
My passion is painting, when I immerse myself in the creative process, a mysterious force erupts taking control, unraveling hidden thoughts, and revealing the unexpected.
It is a magical moment.
