BIOGRAPHY
My name is Maya Shay and I’m a painter from Israel. Art and painting have always been my passion and I’ve been participating art in some kind of form since I was a child but only in the last year began painting professionally. My style is mostly cubist and influenced by artists like, Willem de Kooning, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and M.C Escher and.
I like to use my paintings to explores the subjects innermost. I paint human emotions and feelings in various conditions depicted mostly by portraits and love how the cubist style permits me to do that without boundaries and rules.

STATEMENT
As an artist I like to explore with my paintings human emotions and different states of minds. Mercurial by nature, I use different techniques and styles and like to apply different approaches to my paintings and try new things very often.I feel at most myself while painting, it brings me joy and stillness as I hope it will bring to you. Let it open your mind to the infinite possibilities the universe holds.
