BIOGRAPHY
Leo López is a Mexican-American artist based in New York City. In his creative practice, Leo uses a wide range of media including: makeup, ink, mirror, crystals, and readymade objects that Leo finds in daily life. In one of his continuing series, “Cosmic Daydream,” Leo’s art takes viewers on a colorful journey through deep space, full of nebulas, galaxies, comets, aliens, and the very essence of our existence in space-time. STATEMENT
I hope you enjoy these two works, “Yin Yang” and “Mini Meditation” which are inspired by my mindfulness practice. “Yin Yang” displays a vibrant balance of color on a circular canvas whose orientation can potentially rotate 360 degree. “Mini Meditation” is a smaller version of the larger original, “Meditation” whose pure white texture is a reflection of our own brain waves which are a frequency of our thought process and existence.
