STATEMENT
The majority of my work currently surrounds the idea of physical connection through the use of touch; using the symbol of hands to demonstrate intimacy and vulnerability that is communicated when having a physical connection with another person. This exploration of physical connection uses magnification as a tool to expose the unseen, which creates an overall closeness and intimacy to a person which is usually overlooked. The evolution of magnification has now become my primary interest because the process deconstructs realism into abstraction, by creating unrecognizable fragments of shape and colour.
