BIOGRAPHY

I live and work on the island of Vessö, Borgå, Finland, in the archipelago. The sea and the islands have always been important to me, both as a source of energy and as inspiration.
I´m often trying to create a sense of compassion and joy by making my sculptures humane and seemingly vulnerable. The warmth and kindness within us inspires me.
My artwork are usually built and sculpted of wood, “stitched and patched” together and painted. Like us humans, they have their shortcomings and defects.
Humor is important in my work.
