BIOGRAPHY
Inés de la Calzada was born in Barcelona in 1987, but lived and grew up in Albacete.
She graduated in Law with a Master’s degree in Stock Exchange and Financial Markets in Madrid. All her life she has painted and grown up surrounded by creativity. Her years in Düsseldorf and the artistic energy she breathed in that city also influenced everything that her works express today.
Her passion for painting and art led her to create a sustainable fashion brand, which was born out of exclusive freehand-painted garments.
All the traces of her life, she says, have catalysed her passion for abstract expressionism, and that is why Jackson Pollock lives in her soul.
Her work, with a very marked personal style, is living art, which allows light, colours and transparencies to be the reflection of what catches the viewer in a 360o vision.
She has created a technique that provides visual richness and gives freedom to the viewer and the viewer’s perspective. The mind gives much more than what we see.
Inés seeks to disrupt the visual archetype by creating unbreakable bonds of creativity, expansion, experimentation and evolution.
She is obsessed with activating genuine meaningful visions from the vestiges of each person.

-Exhibition at Artists Experience, March 2025 at the Palacio Santa Barbara, her first exhibition. She was the artist with the highest sales.
-Selected for the TOP SELECTION BERLIN 2025 competition. Exhibition in Berlin in April.

In February 2025, Inés de la Calzada picked up her paintbrushes once again to connect with her essence, vibrate with the colors and transparencies of her methacrylates, expand all her inner love, and contribute to sustainability and a better world by recycling the plastics she uses to create her works.
Sustainability, as she has maintained throughout her career as a sustainable haute couture designer, is a way of life, not a trend.
Her passion for art began by painting peace silks, ahimsha, as if they were a canvas.
Inés believes in living art, art that does not die on a wall but continues on the other side of the work. It is 360º art.

STATEMENT
All our actions always leave traces. I realised that there were also traces in my paintings, so why not use them? I started to superimpose on methacrylate all the traces left by my painting on the plastics I used to protect the studio, as well as plastics I collect from different companies committed to the environment, thus recycling all the used ones.
Art and sustainability are my way of life and work and I create my works to promote them.
The transparency and light of the works through methacrylate gives the viewer the experience of being able to feel and visualize through their emotions, a journey that does not die on one side of an artwork, nor on the wall, but creates a prism and traps you in dreamlike emotions in an immersive 360º experience.
It is living art suspended, not hung.

Creativity is discovery, exploration, love and soul. I realized that I painted with love and that the traces were the soul of it all. Every trace of life shapes what we are… traces of nights, traces of moments, of feelings, of sensations, of my emotions, of every kiss, of every song I listened to, of every taste pupil around the whole tongue exploding in a dreamlike taste, of the sea, …nothing goes unnoticed in our history.
Eros and psyche coexisted in every act of expression. Every time I painted, a trace of that was left behind.
The collection represents all our acts, which from love and soul, shape our life. In the centre and core you will find the trace left by them. It is suspended art, not hung.
A living art, where what you see captured goes beyond and invites you to a 360º journey. It does not die on the wall, but that expressionism surprises you with a new vision only if you look at it from another point of view.
