Iku R. Konishi is a Japanese artist exploring the emotional interplay between memory and identity. Using unconventional materials like rice bags combined with acrylic paint, her practice is influenced by Western art movements that embrace recycled materials found in everyday life. STATEMENT
My work reflects a dialogue between past and present, exploring memory, time, and identity themes using everyday materials such as rice bags and acrylic paint. By incorporating non-traditional elements, I challenge traditional boundaries and invite the viewer to consider the hidden layers of the everyday.
