BIOGRAPHY
Franciavo Merello ( Italian – Chilean )was born on February 10, in Chillan, Chile. In 1972 he studied oil painting techniques under the guidance of ameriacan master Thomas Daskan.
That same year, he persued atudies in Visual Communication Design at the University of Chile. In 1978, he traveled to the United States, whe he work as an Art Director for advertising companies.
In 1982, he was awarded a acholarship by the Italian Goberment to specialize in Restauration and Conservation at the University od Arta in Florence.
He has also completed numerous portrait commissions both in Chile and abroad.
He settled in Florence and currently lives and work between Spain and Italy.
Since then, he has participated in both group and solo art exibitions.

STATEMENT
Habing distiguished in the market trends, tree figure that determine them ( the artist , the expert and the client ) , each one according to their motivation and interest. I try to focus my attention on the work in question demands of me as an artist in relationship with my being in the world, leaving it to the expert to signify and the client appreciate it.
My mission of my work as Visual artist is to provoke in whoever observes , a question through the image, generating a space for dialoge necessary for the answer, acording to their capacity for understanding and culture
