STATEMENT

Since my childhood my great passion has always been drawing and painting. Fully integrated into my hometown artistic environment, I started training in the studio of the well-known artist, Joan Abelló. In my early years, I was moved by the colourist painting, especially landscapes. I have taken part in various exhibitions in Spain and I have also received some awards and prices within my artist career.
As I understand it, painting is not only a matter of profession, diplomas or resumé, but a more vital process, attached to life itself and to a personal experience.
For this reason, in the year 2000, I decided to abandon my previous work approach and look for a new language, in pursuit of “freedom”, trying to find my own interpretation of my generation, devoting myself to this search in my studio in Moià (Moianès). My philosophy is fully in line with one of the very well made points of Michel Seuphor (Ferdinand Louis Berckelaers):
“Human freedom is a conquest that starts every day and proposes a new problem every day. This freedom is insperable from the pace of the world. But in the light of this, we are guided by a blind: art. Art has a blind clear-sightedness, and it is capable of looking beyond profitability, exploring imagination and giving a new dimension”
My art comes from maturity , “joie de vivre”” and dreams. The day I can’t dream, I will stop painting.
