BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Ernest Zawada born in 1971 in Cieszyn.
A resident of Koniaków. Lives and works in Bielsko-Biala. Dean of the Faculty Humanities and Social Sciences Academy of
Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biala. Studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Diploma
with maintaining prof. Stefan Gierowski (1995). In 2008 he obtained the degree of habilitated doctor of arts. May 11, 2020 awarded
by President of the Republic of Poland with the title of professor of art. Perform with easel painting, workshop graphics and
installation. Author of preliminary activities in public space. Author of over a hundred exhibitions and individual presentation. The
latest in Rome. He took participation in over a hundred collective exhibitions. He presented his works among others in Washington,
New York, London, Brussels, Vienna, Venice, Budapest, Paderborn, Wolfsburg, Ostrava, Bratislava. The second distinction took
place at the 13th Florence Biennale. His work arts are in museum collections (Acco – Israel, Vatican, Bielsko-Biala) and others in the
home country and around the world (including the collection President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski). Two-
time scholarship holder Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Twice nominated for Icarus awards. Employed as a research
worker in Institute of Pedagogy of the ATH in Bielsko-Biala. Cooperates with compulsory scientific and artistic activities in Poland
and abroad. Author of book such as: “Learning drawing – learn from Polish masters” and also scientific articles on artistic education
methods. Curator of the ATH Academic Gallery.
