With her artworks, Belinda Salden gives an insight into the world behind her eyes.
By accepting what is in her head and bringing it out, her visual language was created.
As a draftsman, her pen is an extra limb. But when the colors call out to her, she reaches for acrylic paint.
Surrealism is Belinda’s world.

STATEMENT
After I got cancer, I was confronted with the fact that I am no longer who I was before the disease.
That I couldn’t do what I used to do.
I went back looking for myself. In that search I found my visual language.
Are you looking for me? Look at my art. You will find my laughter and my tears, my strength and my weaknesses, my greatest fears and my deepest desires. I don’t have to say the words that are sometimes so difficult to pronounce.
