BIOGRAPHY
I started painting when I was 20, copying masterpieces, then life got in the way, and I didn’t paint for 15 years. I enrolled my daughter in art class, then I thought, what about you! I started painting figurative work, but that bored me, I was looking for another way to express myself. In the South of France, I found a place where one teacher-painter opened an abstraction class. I signed up, it was a revelation! Back to Paris, I enrolled in the abstraction class at the Beaux Arts of Paris. As well as painting, I’ve always drawn a lot. All these little drawings are free expressions of my imagination. I soon got the urge to incorporate these drawings into my painting

STATEMENT
Ordering chaos or disturbing the order of things. My paintings seek a state of balance, which we imagine to be permanently unstable, between shapes, stains, flat areas, signs, spray-painted graffiti… all in a joyful explosion of bright colors punctuated by meticulously drawn motifs that give depth to the compositions. Painting, collage, writing, drawing… the techniques combine, without any predefined plan or hierarchy, to proclaim loud and clear a freedom that plays with plastic conventions and creates new horizons, more chimerical than factual, more mental than physical.
