BIOGRAPHY
Aaron Rodriguez (Born 1984 in Madrid) is a Spanish painter and artist. His interest in Art starts early. his first contact with painting takes place in secondary school. He is thaugt classical drawing and painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid which leads to mainly figurative works but he also keeps experimenting own ways at his studio. His interest in contemporary European art scene leads him to travel to Germany and Benelux. Visiting academys, museums and getting in contact with like-minded artists. He moves to germany. He is accepted in Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Under the strong influence of the new environment he developes another facet in his work. After graduating, he takes a strong cut. He moves to contryside to digest the experience and develop his own style, integrating both – his spanish roots, his curiosity for new techniques and contemporary art movements. 2019 he moves to Hannover, opens his studio and founds „Atelier el Atico“ – an art projekt that energizing the cultural scene. He lives and works in Hannover (Germany)

STATEMENT
Marked by the myths and culture of his origins, his pictorial work is thematically centered around the fragility and inevitability of the human condition and the relationship with the other. In his compositions of intense colors, the character with which he treats the oil medium, plays with the balance between the abstract resolution and the fragility of the figurative elements.
