What Can You See Through The Glass

This was a piece used as an experiment to test many different graphic elements to be used in new work. Line vs solid shape, gestural marks vs flat color fields and bright colors vs organic textures and colors. An early test on linen as a medium that I use very heavily now. This piece became about the art process; what is revealed in the end painting vs what is hidden by the perceptive “window” of time and process. You only see the end result but so much of the art experience is the process for the artist.
