VOGUE as Butterflies

For me, VOGUE is associated with an elegant butterfly, which is born once a month in different parts of the world at the same time, each unique and one-of-a-kind. And after a short period of time, having managed to inspire with its presence, to cause a smile, a tender thrill, hope or faith in magic, it disappears barely noticeably. One of the reasons why I create collages from VOGUE magazine is to preserve the creative energy laid down by artists in each page, prolong the elusive moment of beauty, recycle it and give an opportunity to find a new life in the form of a collage.

In a digital era paper magazine might be gone in near future. This is my own way to express love for fashion, capture the history of a certain era and share contemporary culture in the form of artwork with viewers from all over the world. The magazine itself becomes a source of inspiration. Made out of more than 200 hand-cut petal elements from Vogue. Each element is gently cut and accurately applied with the transparent glue to the sand-yellow surface of 160 gsm High-quality drawing paper. •Sold unframed. •Coated with two layers of professional spray that provides extra protection from dirt, fingerprints, moisture, and fading caused by UV rays. •Titled and signed on the back, comes with the certificate of authenticity. •Ships in a cardboard box.
