The Map of A Myth I
Using fragments of maps of my hometown, Hong Kong, this series of paintings reflects a first-person narrative of the interpretation of the city’s past and future. With vigorous colors and spontaneous brushstrokes, I intend to capture the existence of a place and its inhabitants.
Reference: Road map of Central, the core financial and government area; and Shumshuipo, an old district with a low-income population.
