Passages

“Passages”, abstract artwork done in acrylic and spray paint on linen canvas. Abstraction started instinctively and intuitively, like most of my abstract paintings. The intention here was to create an unstructured composition with an impression of movement and superimpositions, making maximum use of the shapes and effects created randomly by the multiple ways of depositing the paint on the support. The medium is placed, thrown, spread, diluted or not, with a knife, brush, finger etc… creating contrasting associations of matters. The touch is expressionistic in a range of browns, yellows and pinks, accented with white and payne grey. This painting can be read in all directions.

A glossy varnish is applied to the canvas. Hanging system provided. The edges of the painting are painted for an aesthetic rendering.
