This space is not alien to me and it causes me nostalgia. The creation procedure in this series, entitled Duelo (Grief), has equally become a process through which I have assimilated and coped with the absence of my father. I have lived a healing process working on the courts, that space where that sport was our common language. Thanks to my father I have been connected to this sport since I was 6 years old, instilling in me a passion that lately became my workspace.
In my series there is a repetition of the same space, using color and light again to seek a reaction and rethink the court as something that goes beyond a purely aesthetic and chromatic interest, becoming my different views of this loss. The affinity with the courts has become a way in which I dialogue with my dad and it has been my way of leading and facing the grieving process. But above all, it reminds me of the person who made me fall in love with tennis.
