Gland

This artwork started as a studio exercise to reconstruct a Near Eastern terracotta female figure dated to the 3rd Millennium BC that I saw online during a research session. Having completed the basic figurine (in rabbit skin glue-hardened modelling clay) , I embellished it with items/materials from my studio collection, in the manner of collage, until I felt that the work was complete. The title came to me sometime after the making phase was completed.
