Froggy on A branch

I wanted to do a series on Animals with flower hats. My sister in law had visited me and she loves frogs I wanted to paint this because I missed her and knew she would love it. I chose to do this painting with the Alla Prima technique and a limited pallet of red, yellow and blue. This painting really challenged my use of warm, cool and neutral colors and layers and also helped me towards my goal of mixing colors to create my own.
