Fertilitas ~ Superstitio 01

Superstito is an exploration of relative materials with relative mass. These solid black and chocolate clay slabs represent the repetitive nature of resilience and perseverance, positive and negative space, all with the acknowledgement that no two outcomes will ever be the same.

No material has removed from the original slab, only displaced to ensure the relative weight and mass remains the same. The displacement of material providing the positive and negative. Cause and effect.

Solid slab clay formed under pressure and tension. Glazed and fired in oxidation. Side A – Cause Side B – Effect Scarred abstract surfaces symbolising life's varied experiences and their impact.
