Crimson-stained Vista (Pink)
Quinacridone crimson is a modern version of the alizarin crimson, a deep red pigment dye made from herbaceous madder plant thousands of years ago. It was used to colour clothing until the early 19th century until French and German chemists developed a synthesised version of the natural dye. The Quinacridone pigment is used in this body of work because of its ability to create rich reds and magentas, deep purples, and tinted browns.
