Ants

For this painting I went out of my usual palette and composition. I wanted a central stain to work with using green and blue, complementary of the color of the background. As usual started to work without thinking too much to let my unconscious go out. Insects started to appear in a funny/scary way. I remembered the kid´s movie so I had the title for the painting, a reference of pop culture that I love.

The background was a challenge, I was not happy with the color, every time that you try to change a background you finish working with it a lot. Finally I added plaques of epoxy resin mixed with acrylic paint and the final result is quite good I think.
