BIOGRAPHY

Zuzana Čížková ZČK deals in her work with the questions of contemporary life goals in the Western world at the turn of the century, in connection with the transformation of spiritual life into technical progress, the symbiosis of humans with nature, communication and the people’s pursuit of material values and the suppression of emotional life. In her work, she also embodies her personal experience with the real perception of the world and internal experiences from the same space, place and time, but also the fact that we are not robots and that the body and spirit must also be in symbiosis. Her sculptural works in exterior spaces always respond to their intended locations so that they are not just decorations, but encourage passers-by to react to them, to touch the cold concrete buttocks, to take pictures in the view of a monumental postcard motif, or to ponder what the relief inscription in sign language is shouting. Zuzana Čížková creates her works in individual cycles. For example, Romantic Landscape of the 21st Century, We Are Not Robots, Birth, Beings, Hands and Sign Language, Event‘s Horizon. She uses dynamic shapes and impasto colours in her work, in order to create a relaxing or, on the contrary, an energetic charge for the viewers. They act as the pills for challenges of modern civilization.

STATEMENT

Art could be a gateway to higher goals.
I deal with communication and symbiosis between man and nature. I try to make the colorful layers on my canvases give, to give viewers energy, joy and a positive view of the world. So that my work might act as visual antidepressants.
I create my paintings in individual cycles. Romantic Landscape of the 21st Century, Birth, We Are Not Robots, Horizon of Events.
