Wesley Eberle’s work is characterised by an intense abstract expression of the human form and human emotion. Figures are often shown in various stages of growth, adaptation and interaction, while his more abstract work can take on sculptural qualities.
Eberle explores the interactions of form and feeling – those that are perceived and those that are performed, the unknown and the known, the hidden and the overt.
Born in the rural American Midwest, Eberle draws on the vibrant colours and textures of his upbringing and those of his extensive travels. Eberle is based between London and the Greek island of Hydra.
