ARTSPER

BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Naples – Italy, in 13 August 1983.

My family told me that in my childhood I was very fascinated by art: drawing and playing piano in particular.

But my artistic vein remained hidden in my life, until a series of circumstances put me again close to art.

After some experiences in music, and after trying different music instruments like guitar, saxophone and after also a little experience as singer in a rock band, in 2014 I discovered painting, during a depression period: I was looking for a job as engineer, even If I knew pretty well that I had always been a creative mind, and that working in a conventional company as an engineer could be a limit for my creativity. At that time I started looking for myself by painting, reading and writing.

My beginnings in painting were very instinctive and mostly made with oil colors on canvas. I surprised myself finding very bright colors in my artworks. While I was painting the nights flew away, without me realizing it. Each finished painting, left to dry outside on the balcony, became like a child, that I returned to see and check periodically. I think it was the beginning of a love that cannot be explained in words but which gives me peace and serenity and allows me to explore freely, to challenge prejudices, taboos and to dive into the world of my imagination, that often reveals itself like a source of profound and intuitive analysis of reality, at a visible and not visible level.

At the same time I started to study painting theory, trying to not loose my personal style, that is the most important thing for me.

I think painting and art in general allowed me to go inside myself and look at parts of me that I didn’t know very well before.

After the first beginnings with paintings I found a job, not in the art field, and I had to leave art for a while, but I never stopped thinking about it.

Today I try to devote time to art as long as possible, often working at the weekend.

In the last years I have started to change style, mediums and materials in a in a perspective of a research that now is at the same level inside myself and outside myself: I made in 2023 my first adult watercolors works, I started to use acrylic colors, pastels etc.

Today my art is going mostly to abstract, but I don’t like to say that it will be always like this: I love to feel free in my art, that is constantly evolving like me.

My dream is to work just on art for the rest of my life: art in all its forms.

CV

I will professionally expose my artworks for the first time in my life with Azur Gallery Miami.
