BIOGRAPHY

I (1970) was born in Korea, graduated from the prestigious Chinese Academy of Arts in China, and currently lives and works in Seoul, Korea.
I mainly use plane expressions and hard edge techniques using colors, lines, and planes as the main expressions of my work.

In addition to my major, I’ve been studying on the four-Pillars of Destiny for a long time, which is one of the philosophies passed down from the East, which is to divide everything in the universe and the world into elements of yin and yang to help us explore human destiny.
In the four pillars of Destiny, art, religion, and philosophy are regarded as one and the same categories, which have something in common that deals with intangible and invisible areas.

Studying invisible destiny does not mean that my paintings are abstract or metaphysical. Rather, I want to see the world as more concrete, positive, bright, and pleasant, and make people feel happiness and positive passion when they see my paintings. I think artworks are more valuable when they give beauty, love, and happiness to humans.

STATEMENT

I think art is something that creates visual beauty and inspiration for people. The great thing about art is that it creates another world by sensibly awakening something invisible.
For me, art is life itself.
