BIOGRAPHY

Sonia Kovalchuk (b. 1991, Volgograd, Russia) is a contemporary artist based in Lisbon, studying at the ARCO School of Contemporary Art. She later transitioned to graphic design and contemporary art.

STATEMENT

I work in abstract and collage forms, sometimes resorting to formalism, where the main form in my work is the chair as a symbol of stability and exploring beyond its boundaries through expressiveness.

Today, I continue to experiment with various materials and media, constantly expanding the boundaries of my practice.
