STATEMENT
Although the themes of Yamagiwa’s artwork may occasionally change, at the core is always an interest for the concept of time in terms of transitions and passage.
In addition, in recent years, there has also been an interest in spaces, particularly such as margins and blank spaces.
During the creative process, even if it is an act generally defined as “drawing” or “painting”, Yamagiwa places emphasis on “making”.
Several materials and techniques are often used together and his artwork is defined as mixed media.
