BIOGRAPHY
I was born in San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia) in 1996. My approach to painting is very gestural because I can highlight actions in free and direct connection with the artistic material I use. The artistic research I am involved in focuses mainly on the materiality of bodies, on skin and complexion, accompanied by a study that revolves around the human figure, static or in movement. Although the nudes are integral, the intent is to distance myself from academicism, focusing attention on the physical aspect of the body, highlighting the flesh in its integrity, without ideals and stereotypes. It is a concept that involves vulnerability, intimacy and our relationship with what is matter of us. My paintings aim to enhance the skin we inhabit, highlighting proxemics (spatial-postural attitude of the body), a movement that is connected to a behavioral explanation of the human being. By using material painting (a combination of colors, textures and synthetic or natural materials) you create something deep and real, creating three-dimensionality on the canvas.
