BIOGRAPHY

Roanne is a Canadian abstract, mixed-media artist who has always loved painting since her childhood. Back then, she knew she wanted to do something creative. She put aside her love for art to focus on school.

After completing her degree in Finance, she entered the world of Management, and although it has been her career to this day, she has reignited her love and passion for painting! To create a piece that expresses her feelings, to interpret someone’s vision and let it come to life, gives her the fulfillment she needs to pursue her passions and do what she loves.

She believes that being an artist is something that one is born to do, but also sees the importance of honing her skills through constant learning. She has completed various Continuing Studies courses at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, British Columbia.

STATEMENT

Roanne takes her inspiration from her life experiences, her surroundings and from the important relationships in her life. She uses shapes, patterns, lines and textures to manifest these inspirations on canvas.Life is about learning and growing and varied experiences – we are shaped as human beings by the constant ebbs and flows of life.
