Remi Nagahara’s practice centers on abstract painting and poetry, grounded in their original philosophy, Merging Spectrum—a concept of non-assimilative fusion that evolves through the coexistence of contradictions.
They explore the essence of life through the tension between reason and instinct, finding unique beauty in those who choose light while navigating inner conflict.
Rooted in personal experiences of survival, trauma, and regeneration, their works embody a quiet intensity and evoke deep internal resonance, offering viewers a space for contemplation.

Exhibitions include Design Festa Vol.60 (Tokyo Big Sight, 2024). In March 2025, all three submitted works were selected as finalists in the TERAVARNA International Art Competition (Los Angeles). In 2024, she sold over 50 original artworks through live-stream-based commerce.
STATEMENT
My work transforms darkness into light while confronting the shadow that light inevitably casts. I hold opposing extremes at once, trusting in our ability to shift energy through will—choosing transformation over avoidance, and finding quiet strength in the process. I create to share this belief.
