BIOGRAPHY
Nir Brand, born in Israel, 1976, is a graphic designer and multidisciplinary artist, lives in Shiloh, Israel. Over the past 15 years, alongside his activity as an expert in the field of visual communication, Nir works in his private studio and responds to the sights of landscapes and nature in his surroundings, as well as giving a personal interpretation to his marital and family relationships while living in a controversial area.
Life in Israel is accompanied by a continuous confrontation from a political point of view. Nir’s Landscapes, nature and family-life paintings reflect the contrasted gap between the region’s historical beauty and the human tension that occurs on top of it.
“My paintings are not hermetic, my work arises from a subjective place that is aware of its limits. Each painting is a blind-date with the format and a new attempt to express an authentic experience.”
